Daniel J. Massaro
Architecture is the exploration of the senses. It is the understanding of how a space works, translating form into function into form, and learning how to organize the elements of the figure such as proportion, harmony, balance, materiality, structure, and context. When understanding these elements and their relationships one starts to understand the composition of the whole. Yet, beyond the confines of aesthetics and utility, lies a deeper imperative - the call to embed sustainability into the essence of architectural creation. By seamlessly intertwining the exploration of the senses with the ethos of sustainability, we can create a new paradigm for architecture, one that reignites its resonance with life itself.
I am committed to leveraging technology to enhance the design process and create innovative, unique solutions. By employing 3D modeling software, including free-form modeling, computational design, and building information modeling (BIM), we can explore distinctive design solutions. Throughout the design process, implementing and leveraging new technologies, while maintaining open dialogue and collaboration with clients and colleagues, is critical to achieving the best possible outcomes. Whether experimenting with new materials or utilizing advanced fabrication tools, I am dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible, creating designs that are not only practical and aesthetically pleasing but also sustainable and forward-thinking.
